May Meeting 2012

Today's meeting was at Fort MacAllister State Park. We had a low turn-out with only 6 members. It was an open forge meeting and despite the low turn out, I think it went very well. On the business side of the meeting, which was more a discussion than new business, I talked about the next 3 meetings. The June meeting, Mr. Gerald is trying to secure Oetgen Ranch for the location and I'm waiting to hear from Buster Grubbs to see if he will demo for us. Track anvil

If anyone is interested in purchasing a track anvil I have one I am not using. Id rather sell it to someone who needs it than just have it sit in my collection. It is in pretty good condition. Couple of gouges in the face and on the horn that can easily…See More

Propane furnace

I've made a propane furnace and it works but needs fine tuning. Pictures can be seen on my page. It 's hard to start and keep burning, flame wants to come up the 8" long 3/4" pipe to the orifice. Orifice is a # 57 from Bayou outdoor depot. Just need alittle advice from experience furnace makers.thanks, Lonnie HarnSee More
